Explore the incredible diversity of animals from around the world with the help of Critterman at the Hastings Museum on Thursday, February 25. Critterman, David Kleven of Aubrey, Texas, will bring his Global Safari animal program for kids of all ages to learn and understand the importance of protecting our world. He focuses on helping to protect all animals by practicing the three R’s (Reduce, Reuse, & Recycle).

“Kids will have the opportunity to discover the incredible adaptations that help animals survive,” said Curator of Education Russanne Erickson. “Kids, their teachers and parents will see these unique and beautiful animals up close with one of the best animal educators around.”

Critterman will bring with him a European Barn Owl, a Burmese Python, a Ring-tailed Lemur, a Blue tongued Skink, an Opossum and a Red Tegu.

In 1990, David and his wife, Susan, created Animal Edutainment Inc., a private, non-profit, professional, wildlife education outreach organization which develops and presents totally unique programs for youth. Live Animals Take Over the MuseumTheir animal care facility is home to over 50 non-releasable animals that were orphaned, injured, surplus or cast-off by previous owners. These animals now act as ambassadors for their species. The Klevens believe that if an animal is capable of living in the wild that is where it belongs.
