Planning Your Field Trip

Reservations & Fees

Call 1-800-508-4629 or 402-461-4629, option zero to make reservations. Bring a copy of your school's Form 13 when attending the museum. All school groups receive special discounted admission rates.

  • All schools:
    • $4.00 per person for each large-format film.
    • Bring in your school, daycare, or home-school group of students during the same academic year and their film discount will increase with each visit:
      • First visit: $4.00
      • Second visit: $3.00
      • Third visit: $2.00
  • Schools from outside Hastings city limits:
    • $3.00 per person for museum admission; includes school programs, planetarium and Groundwater Discovery Adventure.
    • $7.00 per person for museum/theatre combo.
  • Schools within Hastings city limits:
    • Free admission to museum, school programs, planetarium and Groundwater Discovery Adventure. (Except for special programs. Check for special pricing.)
    • $4.00 per person for museum/theatre combo.

The planetarium, Groundwater Discovery Adventure and all school programs are FREE with paid museum admission. Fees apply to all students, teachers and other adults.

Hours

Regular Museum Hours

The museum is open on Mondays from May through August. Although school groups are welcome any time the museum is open, educational programs are available during regular business hours, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Super Screen films begin at 8:00 a.m. Please ask our Guest Services representative about availability and showtimes.

Bus Unloading & Parking

The museum provides free bus parking in the east parking lot. Busses may unload in the circle drive around the flagpole at the south end of the building before parking in the east bus area.

Food & Drinks

There are many food vendors within a few blocks of the museum. We will provide a list for you upon request. There is also a picnic area in the park directly east of the museum.
