Albert Brooking, Hastings Museum founder, died under mysterious circumstances and you must help solve the mystery. The Hastings Museum presents Museum Mystery Dinner Theatre on Saturday, January 23. The event, sponsored by Oakeson, Steiner & Lindsteadt, will feature an elegant sit-down dinner along with a cash bar and silent auction. Guests will be seated at tables of eight and may request table partners.

“The accident Mr. Brooking suffered shortly before his death is very suspicious,” said Drew Ceperley, director of marketing and development. “While we can’t prove any of this, it will be a fun and entertaining evening.”

The best part of the evening will be characters mingling with the audience after the play. This gives each table an opportunity to ask questions and try to “solve” the mystery. Guests will then be asked to fill out a solution sheet with their best guess on the murderer, how it happened and the motive. Prizes will be awarded to the winning table!

The silent auction will offer a variety of treasures. Items range from things you can do to things you can discover and the ever popular things you can take home!
Proceeds will help support the museum’s educational programs and exhibits, which serve the 15,000 school children who visit Hastings Museum every year. Events such as this help the museum cover the gap between its expenses and sources of revenue.
